ClassDojo

ClassDojo is a wonderful classroom management tool that I initiated in my classroom. ClassDojo helps motivate the students throughout the day and continues to help keep the students engaged. Through using this app based positive behavior system, I have seen an increase in motivation, engagement, and energy in my classroom! 

ClassDojo helps...

-Improve behavior: students are motivated to earn dojo points and stay engaged throughout class. Parents/guardians see real-time feedback. Every time a student earns or loses a point the time is recorded and the parent/guardian can see the updates at anytime by logging into their account or by using the app. This app based program helps families communicate with me easier through the ClassDojo Messaging.

-Share data: Behavior reports are sent to the parent/guardian at the end of the week. For the parents/guardians who do not have access to an email, I provide them with a printed report at the end of the week. The ClassDojo Messaging system provides the parents/guardians with a simple way to communicate with me. The messaging system also has a broadcast option in order to send a message to all the parents/guardians in the class quickly and easily.  Once they read the messages I am notified by a read receipt.

-Save time: I save a lot of time using the ClassDojo app. I can record behaviors throughout the class without having to go on the computer and without carrying a notepad.
